what is grace community church?

The church started in 1972 in Bedford with just twelve members. Since then we have grown considerably, and have moved our venues to cope with increasing numbers. We have a membership of 150 and congregation of over 200. We started meeting at Hastingsbury School, Kempston in 1989, where we were known as Kempston Evangelical Church until 2004.

Our leaders are committed to explaining the Bible in a way which is accurate, accessible and connects with modern life.

The church understands the fact that ‘people matter to God'. We aim to give visitors a ‘warm welcome' to the church, and open our lives to them by having homes where we can give friendly hospitality. In a fast paced world this helps to develop strong relationships and build a better sense of community.

Our weekly small groups, meeting in homes also help enable people to make good connections with one another.
